Donating or fundraising in memory of a loved one is a very special way to celebrate and honour their life. Your gift will help improve the lives of thousands of seafarers and their families in times of need, and we are always very grateful to receive these donations – thank you for thinking of Seafarers UK in such a special way.
How to donate in memory of a loved one
You can make a donation online using our simple and secure online payment form. You can give a one-off gift or set up regular donations in memory of a loved one.
A Tribute Page
It’s easy to set up an online tribute page where friends and family can safely make a donation to remember a loved one and share special memories. Please visit JustGiving to set up your tribute page. You will need to select ‘Fundraise for us’ and then choose ‘Remembering someone’ from the list provided. If you don’t have a JustGiving account, you will need to register. Don’t worry – it only takes a couple of moments.
Funeral and memorial events
Collecting donations at a funeral or a memorial event can help Seafarers UK make a difference in memory of your loved one. You may choose to do this by asking for donations instead of flowers. Any donations can be forwarded to us by cheque to Seafarers UK, 8 Hatherley Street, LONDON, SW1P 2QT, or donated online.
We appreciate that funeral services have changed over the past months – you may wish to invite friends and family to support your online tribute page instead.
Taking part in an event or organising an event in memory is a particularly inspiring way to remember a loved one. Whether it’s a run, a walk or a bake, your gifts will help to improve the lives of thousands of seafarers and their families in times of need. Please let us know if you are organising an in memory fundraising event by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you want to find out how you can make a donation by post or by phone, or if you need help with setting up your online tribute page, please contact Carole Hunt on 020 7932 5991 or email email@example.com.
Please note that due to restrictions imposed by COVID-19 on the way our charity operates, it currently takes 2-3 weeks for us to process your postal donations. We therefore encourage you to make donations online.
