Seafarers UK Centenary Celebration Dinner in Glasgow, 5 October
Seafarers UK held its last Centenary Celebration Dinner in Glasgow on 5 October at The City of Glasgow College, Riverside Campus.
The dinner, supported by Lyon & Turnbull and the Scottish Maritime Museum, highlighted the debt of gratitude we all owe the generations of seafarers by reflecting upon the sacrifices of the past and by supporting those still serving as well as those training to be our seafarers of the future.
The three course celebratory dinner at a World Class Centre of Maritime Learning also included a sparkling drinks reception, a private artwork viewing, music by the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Scotland and an after dinner speech by Admiral the Lord West of Spithead.
Thank you to all who attended this excellent evening celebrating the work of Seafarers UK, supporting past, present and future seafarers.
