Seafarers UK relies on donations and legacies to continue supporting seafarers in need and their families and Legacies are crucial to every aspect of our work. It doesn’t matter how much you donate – each donation will help to make a difference to the lives of those who are at sea or ashore who need our help.
Making a Will
We understand that making a Will is one of the most important decisions you will ever make and the only way to set out your wishes for the future, as well as to ensure that your family is taken care of when you are no longer here. With this in mind Seafarers UK has partnered with McClure Solicitors – who have a network of offices throughout the UK – to offer you a free Will preparation and review and Power of Attorney services. All you need to do is consider making a donation to help support Seafarers UK, but there is no obligation to do so.
Will Review Service
If you already have an existing Will it is important to have your Will reviewed by a professional experienced in Will writing to ensure that your Will is valid, covers your whole estate and is up to date. McClure solicitors can review your Will free of charge and advise whether it is adequate or needs amended, or indeed replaced altogether. If you need a new Will, McClure can provide this under their Free Will scheme.
Power of Attorney Service
It is important that every adult has a Power of Attorney, which lets someone you trust look after you and your affairs if you are not able to do so. Using the services of McClure Solicitors means that come what may, you will have your affairs in order, protect your and your family’s future and at the same time you can support the valuable work of Seafarers UK.
