This is a great opportunity to be a core part of a small Individuals and Marketing team within a wider, but strong and close-working Fundraising & Communications team. The successful applicant will oversee and manage Seafarers UK’s Individual Giving programme and strategy (inc. regular giving, In memory, a lottery, key relationships, non-regular donors etc.).

Key aims of the role:
- To manage, develop and implement an Individual Giving programme and strategy for Seafarers UK that maximises income for the organisation across cash, regular, lottery, payroll, high value and In memory giving.
- To work closely with the CRM Manager, Fundraising Administration Officer and Marketing & Individuals Manager in developing and targeting Direct Marketing campaigns that engage both potential and existing donors with appropriate asks, and to ensure strong stewardship with clear supporter journeys for donors (aiming to reduce attrition, maximise lifetime value and create a positive supporter experience).
- To manage and develop the Merchant Navy Fund – an Individual Giving campaign, jointly branded with a partner charity.
A key emphasis will be on improved tailoring of communications and better targeting of existing and potential donors. Interested candidates will need demonstrable prior experience of managing an Individual Giving programme – inc. direct marketing, supporter and donor engagement and database targeting and reporting. A detailed understanding of the maritime sector or community is not essential, but a clear interest in and empathy for the work and lives of those we support, is.
