Seavision was a UK-nationwide campaign to inspire young people, aged 11 to 22, to consider a career in the maritime industry.

Seavision was originally guided by an informal partnership of ‘stakeholders’ comprising Lloyd’s Register, Royal Navy, Seafarers UK, Trinity House and UK Chamber of Shipping.

At Seafarers UK’s suggestion, Seavision created a ‘Career Navigator’ web portal to ‘signpost’ helpful sources of information about the diverse employment opportunities at sea and ashore.

That service is now provided by the pan-industry promotional body Maritime UK, initially for ‘influencers’ such as parents, grandparents, teachers and careers advisers.

Other Seavision projects – including the educational initiative ‘My School is an Island’ – are retained by Seafarers UK. Download the booklet to learn more or for additional information please get in touch with Richard Holmes.
