The Confederation of British Service Organisations (COBSEO) is an organisation that exists to work for the interests of the Armed Forces Community, including Serving and ex-Serving personnel, as well as their dependants.
Its stated objectives are to represent, promote and further the interest of the whole of the Service and Veterans’ community by:
- Exchanging and coordinating information internally.
- Identifying issues of common concern and coordinating any necessary and appropriate action.
- Acting as a point of contact for external agencies to the members of COBSEO.
- Representing and supporting the needs and opinions of its member organisations, individually and collectively, at central and local government levels and with other national and international agencies.
COBSEO’s membership currently consists of about 186 Service and ex-Service organisations including 65 regimental associations. Membership is open to all those organisations whose primary purpose is to promote and further the welfare and general interests of Service.
