Our impact

In 2016 Seafarers UK delivered:

  • £2.57m in total funding
  • 103 grants awarded to 69 organisations
  • £421,284 awarded in Maritime Education and Training grants
  • £216,751 in project fundraising grants
  • £171,878 in Merchant Navy Fund grants

And it provided the following outcomes:

  • 11 new organisations supported
  • 69 beneficiary organisations aided
  • 186,390 people that were helped by our funding

In 2017 Seafarers UK delivered:

  • £3.17m in total funding
  • 85 grants awarded to over 60 organisations
  • 8 new organisations supported

The grants awarded up until the end of October 2017 will support 76,887 people in need and their families, including ex-seafarers and veterans, those currently working at sea as well as those training for a career at sea.
