In 2016, our grants programme helped 69 organisations and projects

To continue our work in aiding those seafarers who so desperately need our help, we need to raise as much money as possible in support of the organisations and projects that are making a real difference to people’s lives across the Merchant Navy, Fishing Fleets and Royal Navy.

Our Centenary in focus

Seafarers UK (formerly King George’s Fund for Sailors) was formed in 1917 to help support seafarers and their families during the First World War. 100 years later, the charity’s mission is the same. The focus of our Centenary Year will be on supporting the past, present and future of seafaring.
